Pianist and composer Liz Sinn has become an in-demand collaborator in New England’s vibrant music scene, her journey rooted at Berklee College of Music. Though specializing in jazz, Liz brings versatility across genres, including various Latin American music styles, classical, musical theater, and pop. She has performed with an array of distinguished musicians, including GRAMMY Award winners Neal Smith and Charlie Rosen’s 8-Bit Big Band, as well as internationally renowned artists Il Divo, Chloë Agnew of Celtic Woman, Bill Pierce, Carl Allen, and Rafael Barata. As an arranger and copyist, Liz has collaborated with Latin American luminaries Andrés Cepeda and Daymé Arocena, demonstrating her ability to seamlessly blend diverse musical traditions.
A first-generation American, Liz was profoundly influenced by her Chinese heritage and classical music upbringing, fostering an intensity and focus that defines her approach to music. Music has been her primary means of expressing the complexities of her identity, particularly in balancing the cultural influences that shape her. Her passion for composition began at the age of nine and evolved further through her jazz studies, first in high school and later at Berklee College of Music, where she honed the fusion of her cultural roots with formal training.
